ARTISTIC-PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE

Since 2015, I have designed and led workshops where artistic research and participatory co-creation intersect, exploring memory, identity, and belonging through artistic practice. These formats are not separate from my artistic work but grow directly out of it, functioning as laboratories where methods of Poetical Digital Storytelling are tested, adapted, and shared.

Imaginary Architectures - PDS Lab is part of my doctoral research project, extending Poetical Digital Storytelling into embodied and spatial co-creation. Conceived as both a laboratory and a travelling residency, it connects artistic research with collective learning, creating spaces where participants explore memory, identity, and belonging through film and writing. As a research tool, the lab serves as a site where the methodology of PDS is tested, refined, and shared, laying the foundation for future programs and collaborations.

Digital Stories Berlin was initiated as an EU-supported educational programme introducing digital storytelling to schools and cultural institutions. Over time, it grew into a laboratory where I collaborated with artists, tested workshop models, and refined my pedagogical approach. These years were essential in shaping my understanding of storytelling, authorship, and education in a digital age. The insights and limitations I encountered with digital storytelling as a format, led me to redefine my practice, resulting in Imaginary Architectures of Belonging Knowledge and Care, my practice-based research project.

At Matica hrvatska Orebic, I initiated EU-funded projects connecting artistic practice with community building in rural contexts. Rethink the Future - Reinvent the city brought together 36 young people from across Europe to reimagine civic life through artistic interventions in public space. These early projects showed me how art can empower communities, stimulate collective imagination and open new forms of belonging. These experiences formed the foundation for my later work in Berlin and eventually evolved into what I now called Poetical Digital Storytelling.
