Tina Bikić (1987) is an artist, researcher, and educator based in Berlin.

Tina works as a filmmaker and poetical digital storyteller, developing Poetical Digital Storytelling (PDS) as a practice of imaginative poetics that builds upon digital storytelling, screenwriting, artistic research and poetic film. She expands her artistic vision beyond the text-based script into an embodied, solo-authored process. In this, she takes on the roles of writer, director, narrator, and editor to create unified artistic works. Her practice emerges from the synergy of image and language, imagination and experimental narrative, transforming memory into film and opening affective cinematic spaces for audiences. Through this praxis, she explores themes of home, displacement, and in-betweenness, approaching them as spatial and experiential layers of memory, rewritten and re-enacted in the search for belonging.

At the core of her practice-based research project Imaginary Architectures of Belonging, Knowledge, and Care: Poetical Digital Storytelling as a Practice of Imaginative Poetics, lies the idea of transformation. It aims to position poetical digital storytelling as a practice of artistic self-realization and as a methodological contribution to artistic research, foregrounding imagination, play, and introspection as essential to authorship. The project proposes a transferable framework that empowers future artistic identities, rewrites memory into future imaginaries, and safeguards creativity as a value and form of care, in contrast to the automated acceleration of creativity in a cultural landscape shaped by AI-generated content. In this sense, she understands this research as a form of creative resistance, giving back creativity the time that it needs.

As part of her artistic practice she explores the intersection of art and education by extending the PDS methods into dialogue and collective imagination. She is the founder of Digital Stories Berlin, a platform offering courses and workshops for artists, universities, and cultural institutions, with a mission to create and celebrate new forms of artistic knowledge production.

Tina holds an MA in Comparative Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia, complemented by coursework in film studies. Before relocating to Berlin in 2018, she served as the cultural director of the Matica Hrvatska branch, where she was responsible for creating the artistic program and developing innovative educational projects, which steered the modernization of the Croatia´s oldest cultural institution. Her projects Rethink the Future – Reinvent the City and Digital Stories Berlin were both recognized by the European Commission as examples of good practice.
