There is no single place, since I have recognised parts of old dreams in each of the landscapes that were my home once. Always situated in between – what I have seen and what I’m yet about to reimagine.
Each new recognition signifies belonging, promises to stay. These are our common quests, these are our common spaces, these are the places we have already marked in our dreams.
The place we are looking for is already within us, echo repeats. Our island – is an imaginarium into which we have woven our own thoughts. And when I call it an island I don’t mean boundaries, its infinite expanse – conditioned only by our play. You, who decide to stay on the island, leave behind all the weights that are the impediment to freedom.
While playing she create unpredictable surfaces to which she inscribe the threads of her contemplation and dreams. It is wondrous play of elusive and inimitable touches– today.
Clearly you have always belonged both here and there, but nowhere fully. In the space of in between – all of your marked places are kept, the places over which you reflect and where you recognise yourself.
This interstice has become an imaginary playground for all your desires, and imagine this entire world of yours – it is limitless.
The island as the first and last station, the place of all places – ours.
You need none of the things you accumulate in an attempt to compensate for balance. Let the island teach you – how to float, be as light as the Earth’s breath, be weightless.
Set it down, set it down, let it go, let it go, forget, let the island teach you…to never deny your dreams, the echo repets.
A wondrous play of elusive and inimitable touches brings us close to timelessness.
On the island we meet the shadow of our being that has decided to float, to be on its own, truly alone yet so playful. The island is all the places we have invented in order to meet our shadow once more.
The island is a place where we change the ways of being lonely.
